Summer Rendezvous

July 20-22

Preliminary Information

Tentative Schedule for Rendezvous Activities:

Friday, July 20, wine tasting followed by BYOB and home (boat) made hors d'oeuvres on Columbia’s dock.

Saturday, July 21, there will be seminars in the morning, with the afternoon free for visiting Chicago. Pusser's Rum is sponsoring a tasting on Saturday night during our cocktail party. We will then have a Prime Rib dinner followed by Fireworks.

Sunday, July 22, depart for cruise destinations.

Saturday night will include sharing SEA STORIES as a way of introductions. Friday night and during the day on Saturday you will have the opportunity to match individuals to their stories; prizes will be awarded for such things as: who can match the most names to stories, the most costly story, the most challenging and of course the funniest. So start thinking about all your excitement at sea! A form will be included with the Rendezvous Flyer to document your story.

WEDNESDAY, May 15 – Make Slip Reservations

Columbia Yacht Club, site of our Summer Rendezvous, will have dock space but we might have to raft off each other. Anyone who wants a slip for the Rendezvous must reserve it in DuSable harbor. May 15 is the first day they will take reservations. Call early; slips go quickly. DuSable harbor may be difficult to reach by phone the first few days reservations are offered.

Jackets are optional and must be ordered by June 18^th. $35/each for XS – XL, $37 for XXL – XXXXL.

You will receive your Rendezvous Registration Form the first week of June. Registrations will be due by June 18^th. Cost TBD.

LMHSA Mid-winter Rendezvous

In case you haven’t heard it Through the Coconut Telegraph, there’s a mid-winter LMHSA gathering
at the Rains Marina. Join us for Boat Drinks, Cheeseburgers and a BUFFETT of treats (Last name
Alpha through Mike bring Appetizers; November through Zebra bring desserts to share).

The party will be held in our One Particular Harbor (Naperville) but watch for Fins to the Left and
Fins to the Right when you toss out your anchor.

So, if You need a Holiday then make some Changes in Latitude to change your attitude and be prepared
to party hardy on Saturday night (January 27, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm) so; Come Monday you’ll be all right.

Don’t Jamaica Mistaica and miss this fun filled rite of mid-winter. Will you be there??? Well, I don’t know,
